Detox Diet Dinner Recipes

Find out about the detox diet dinner recipes that are tasty and easy to make for you to complete your detoxification program effectively:

Herbed Millet with Steamed Vegetables
For serving of 4

  • 1 cup of millet
  • 2 cups of vegetable broth
  • 3 small cloves of garlic, peeled and minced
  • ½ an onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
  • Mix all the ingredients into the saucepan and cook over low heat
  • Cook for about 35 minutes and make sure that all liquids are absorbed

Quinoa Tabbouleh Salad
For serving of 4

  • 1 cup of cooked quinoa
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1-1/4 cup of minced parsley
  • ½ cup of minced fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon squeeze lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
Mix all ingredients into one bowl and serve immediately or chilled. It can be kept in refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Lentil Stew
For serving of 4

  • 1 cup of raw lentils
  • 2 large carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 large onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 14 oz of Italian tomatoes
  • ¼ teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
Place them into the saucepan and add all the ingredients together. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes until the ingredients become soft.

Salmon with Roasted Garlic and Rosemary
For serving of 4

  • 2 bulbs of garlic, unpeeled
  • 3 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 sprigs of rosemary
  • ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 wild salmon fillets (about 10 ounce)
  1. Preheat your oven until 350 degree Fahrenheit
  2. Wrap the garlic bulbs into an aluminum foil and lay into the oven rack
  3. Roast it for about 45 minutes until the cloves become tender (test it with a knife)
  4. Remove the garlic from the oven for cooling on the side
  5. Peel the garlic and throw away the outer skin
  6. Place the garlic, lemon juice, rosemary, and oil into a blender
  7. Puree until smooth
  8. Spread the puree onto the salmon
  9. Lightly oil the baking dish with extra virgin oil
  10. Place the salmon onto the baking dish and bake until flaky for about 25 minutes

These detox diet dinner recipes can actually be interchanged as a lunch recipe. Most importantly, the ingredients used are fresh or best if it is organic to gain the best amounts of nutrition, vitamins, and phytochemicals available from the food.
