Detox Diet Breakfast Recipes

Here are some examples of a good detox diet breakfast recipes to boost up your energy for the day:

Steel-cut Oatmeal
For serving of 3

The least processed among oats, even more so than rolled or instant oats, which allows slower metabolism within your body. This is one of the best choices among the detox diet breakfast recipes. It is also recommended for you to spice up the taste with the addition of fruits.

  • 3 cups of water, juice or rice milk
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of steel-cut oats
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Add water and salt to a boil over high heat in a saucepan
  • Add steel-cut oats and continue to boil
  • Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for about 15 minutes
  • Turn off the heat and let it stand for 2 minutes until it thickens
  • Add maple syrup before serving

Quinoa
For serving of 4

  • 1 cup of quinoa
  • 2 cups of water
  • ½ cup of rice milk
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • Salt
  • Pineapple bits,
  • Toasted shredded coconut
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ cup of chopped apples, pears, and/or raisins

  • Rinse and drain 1 cup of quinoa.
  • Over high heat, place the quinoa in the saucepan
  • Add water and salt and boil them
  • Reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes
  • Add the ½ cup of fruits and continue to simmer until all water is absorbed
  • Serve with rice milk and drizzle maple syrup
  • Add pineapple bits and coconut shreds and cinnamon

Millet
For serving of 2

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ cup of millet
  • 1 cup of rice milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Add water, salt, and millet together into saucepan
  • At low heat, cook for about 25 minutes until water is absorbed
  • Serve with rice milk and drizzle with maple syrup

Baked Apples
For serving of 4

  • 4 organic green apples
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • 8 almonds
  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 cups of water
  • Preheat the oven up to 350 degree Fahrenheit
  • Wash the apples and ½” off the top of the apples, do not throw away the tops
  • Remove the core of the apples without breaking through the bottom of the apples
  • Stuff each apple with raisins, two almonds, and a sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Fill each apple with water and replace the tops
  • Place the apples on the baking dish and bake it for about 30 to 40 minutes until it turns soft

Dr Elson’s Detox Diet Breakfast Recipe
For serving of 4

  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1 cup of apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest
  • 4 cups of cooked brown rice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ cup of chopped walnuts
  • Add the raisins, lemon zest, cinnamon and apple juice in saucepan
  • At low heat, simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the raisins puff up
  • Add the brown rice and simmer it for another 3 minutes
  • Turn off the heat, add the walnuts and cover for about 10 minutes
  • Make sure all liquids are absorbed
